From Idea to UI With One Claude Skill

This free Claude Skill will guide you from an idea to a working prototype, exactly like a senior UX designer.

How it works

Three phases. Go wide, then narrow down.

Three phases. Go wide, then narrow down.

Each phase goes wide with options, then narrows down to the one you pick. Claude does the legwork. You make every decision.

Requirements, UX and UI: the three phases as a double diamond plus a small diamond. Grey lines are AI legwork, orange dots are your decisions.

Start a new conversation, then run the command or just describe what you want to build.

In Claude Code

/uxui-workflow

Or describe your idea

I want to build an app for an independent climbing gym where members book sessions and classes.

I want to build an app for an independent climbing gym where members book sessions and classes.

Claude plays your idea back in 2–3 sentences and names the 3 biggest unknowns. Then the interview starts.

1

Phase 1 · The right problem

Requirements

Requirements

Phase 1, Requirements: the interview goes wide with questions, then narrows to requirements.md.

Claude interviews you in short rounds, with options and a recommended answer for every question. It hunts for blind spots, then narrows everything into one problem statement.

Your call

Answer the questions and confirm the problem.

The recommended answer is a suggestion, not a decision. If you accept everything without reading, the AI is deciding again.

Output

requirements.md

Phase 2 · The right solution

UX Discovery

UX Discovery

Phase 2, UX discovery: 3 concepts, you pick B, then journey map, user flows and screen inventory narrow into design-brief.md.

No visuals yet. Claude designs 3 different solution concepts and compares them against your requirements. Then it maps the one you pick: the user journey, the flows and every screen.

Your call

Pick 1 of 3 solution concepts.

Claude recommends one, but you choose. Then you approve the flows and the screen list before any UI is designed.

Output

Phase 3 · The rule of three

UI Design

UI Design

Phase 3, UI: 3 directions, pick 1, then 3 variations, pick 1, then roll out the system and every screen.

In a fresh conversation, Claude Design opens as a canvas. You get 3 directions for the main screen, then 3 variations of your pick. The winner becomes the design system for every other screen.

Your call

Pick 1 of 3, twice.

None of them right? Say what’s wrong with each one and ask for 3 more. Without the reasons, it’s just a reroll.

Output
